Upon graduation from Valley City State College, Miss Iorns made her first move to Bismarck as Western North Dakota Field Director of National Youth. In 1937 she returned to Valley City and served for ten years as teacher-principal at Ritchie School. In 1947, Miss Iorns became Director of Elementary Education for the Department of Public Instruction in Bismarck. Later she was Director of Christian Education at McCabe Methodist Church and has done volunteer work in her retirement years in Bismarck.
