Schodt, Dr. Eddie W.

Dr. Schodt served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1946. Following his honorable discharge in 1946, he entered the Department of State as research analyst and later became chief of the Northern European Branch of the Division of Research for Western Europe. Dr. Schodt was appointed as a foreign service officer in January 1955 and during the next twenty years served in Norway, Australia, Japan, and Thailand. He retired in December 1974 after more than thirty years of service with the United States Government, of which nearly twenty years were spent overseas in different U.S. Embassies.
