VCSU Scholarship Auction Presents “Get Groovy, Vikings!”
The 29th annual Valley City State University Scholarship Auction (the most fun all year) will be held April 26, at the Valley City Eagles Club. The theme is “Get Groovy, Vikings!” and attendees are encouraged to dress in their best 70’s attire. Auction tickets are $70 each, which includes admission, two drink tickets and a buffet dinner.
5:00 p.m. – Social and Games of Chance
6:00 – 7:30 p.m. – Buffet Dinner
7:00 p.m. - Live Auction Starts
The evening also features everyone's favorite raffle giveaways, the chance to purchase bottles of wine at the popular Mystery Wine Table along with our live auction.
We will continue to have our silent auction as a virtual format and will continue that way this year through the Handbid app. Those attending last year open your Handbid app and update it, then choose “VCSU Scholarship Auction 2024” from the auctions list. If you are new to the auction the Handbid App can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play Store. Silent auction starts on Monday, April 22 @ noon and runs through Friday, April 26 @ 7:30 p.m. YOU DO NOT NEED AN AUCTION TICKET TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SILENT AUCTION. Successful bidders of the silent auction can pick up their items on Monday, April 29.
HOW TO PURCHASE TICKETS
Tickets to the auction are $70 each and are on sale now! You can purchase your tickets at the door of the Eagles. Limited number available.
Tickets go quickly! Reserve your ticket now by calling the VCSU Foundation Office at 701-845-7203 or from an auction committee member.
And remember attendees are encouraged to dress in their favorite 70’s attire (bellbottoms, denim, jumpsuits, platform shoes, tie dye, disco and the list goes on)!
The auction is a collaborative effort of the V-500 and Viking Booster boards.

We are currently accepting items for the auction. If you are interested in donating an auction item to our live or silent auctions, please contact Kim Hesch at 701-845-7403 or kim.hesch@vcsu.edu
Popular items include tools, artwork, sporting equipment, outright cash, gift certificates, etc. All auction donors receive recognition in our auction program.
Still not sure what to give - participate in the Mystery Wine Table and donate a bottle of wine valued at $20 or more. The night of the auction the bottles will be boxed and numbered. Attendees can purchase a bottle by paying $20, drawing a number and then will find out what bottle of wine they won! Or donate CASH and we’ll do the shopping for you.
